Default Ehh hello Honda-tech

Sooo last week I bought a 90 ef hatch I believe it's a Canadian model. Car has already been swapped to a b18b1 with so called LSD ( well see when I pull it out) p/o spun a rod bearing and sold it to me for 700. It has Gsr leather that's a little ruff but it's in one piece. Ive already pieced out my rebuild. I currently drive a mk4 boosted gti sooooooo Honda is sort of a different ball game for me. But here goes.

Eagle h beam forged rods
Wiseco 9.3 pistons
Arp rod bolts
Oem rod/ main bearings
New head gasket
Used ls crank ( I am fairly sure the current is trashed but well see)
Debating on arp head studs

This is just a ruff start etc so.
Input and advice will be much appreciated! I'll post pics tomorrow

Few months down the road oem cr on an ls is 9.2 so I figured with the 9.3 wiseco I'd be safe for a few months without te turbo

Check through the sponser marketplace on here they usually have good prices. Or Ebay, as long as your ordering name brand parts and not cheap Ebay stuff

I only run OEM bearings. Ive ordered over 100 parts off Ebay and never had a problem. Just make sure your buying from somewhere that has good feedback and try to stay away from private sellers on there

Hmm can you find the oem bearings online? I've already got an amazing deal on rods and pistons and I found an ls crank today.

Anyone have experience building ls heads? And would you reccomend supertech valves over oem? Looking to do a budget built head if anyone has input to getting the best bank for their buck out of an ls head lmk. Not Interested in swapping a Vtec head also

Looking at some wheels this week.
Im thinking miro stp 1 or diamond racing 16x9 anyone have input on offsets?
Also. Debating on a hondata s300 ecu injectors will be if 1000
Also picked up a percision 600hp intercooler. Anyone have input on turbo kits. Reccomended piecing your own? My local shop has an entry level kit 1600 it includes a custom log manifold and a percision 50 trim with a billet wheel. Basically everything but the ic plus piping.

Still working on uploading photos kind of a bish doing it from an iPhone.

The supertechs are WAY better pieces than factory..

And find someone who knows what they are doing as far as porting and polishing the ls head. If you plan to go boost, there ALOT of material you can take out inside the port.

Also, alot of people have had success with regrind cams as well. Just a heads up for saving a buck.

Would like to see how this goes since my brother has a similar setup but with only 10:1 compression. Ive been wanting him to boost it for about a year now.. lol

Well I've been dealing with forged performance they recommended a piston between 9.5-10:1 so initially my setup has changed. If your not taking the car into the higher revs wouldn't a softer spring be applicable. Supertech pistons is what I'm leaning towards I already picked up some eagle rods. Would like more info on building your own turbo kit. Ie. what parts you used and prices, where you got them, total prices, pros and cons And numbers your running. Also how many of you are running a 9in rim.

Frank.
