Awesome, yet another person proving that B20s can be BAR'd...and a JDM one at that!!

EDIT: WTF? They even put an older engine into a newer car?! LOL I know it's a technicality but yeah, that's pretty cool!

I'm a lil confused, so is t bar'ed as a 1.8L like the sticker says or as a B20? Because it states b20b to conform to b18a1 motor and ecu

I'm guessing it works only because it's a wagon.

It's basically just saying that it's using a B20 as a B18 meaning other than the stamp on the block saying "B20" everything else B18 specific. There was a thread about a guy who successfully got a BAR label for a DOHC ZC and it says "1988 Integra D16A1, using ZC block" on the label. Really it's up to the local referee if they let it go that way. I've known about people doing this for years but it's only recently that people have been posting up pics of the specific BAR label from their cars.

He is right... I have been bugging these guys for quite some time now and i herd that the manager let a b20 pass so i called him out on it and he let mine pass. Just went and bought a b18c1 tranny ( y80?) and will be puttling a LSD into it. I got it very cheap thats why I didnt just buy a Lsd tranny lol. Also some 14" Civic Hx rims and some custom cut struts to go along with my extended top hats. I think im going to have to call the fender roller over the day i install everything lol.

Any suggestions on what color I should paint the rims?

Also whos going to the EF vs DA meet?

You realize you may not be able to smog the b18c seeing as your sticker is specific on engine label. B18A1 and B20B do not match up to B18C.

It might, different RPMs/speed/load. Can't say that it will, but it might.

True... But the b20b runs a hell of a lot cleaner then the 91 b18. In the process of getting my motor bard I installed a brand new cat/o2 sensor. I drilled a hole and welded a screw right before the cat for the o2 sensor ( got that tip from a friend on hondacivicwagon.com), took it to a friends smog shop and got readings that passed. Took it home and did a double dose of seafoam let it sit overnight took it to the reff station with still half a bottle of seafoam in the tank and it passed with flying colors. The tech at the reff shop was amazed. During the reff smog i was running a b18a1 with a spool in it so the gearing on it was super high.

So the word getting passing b20b's and z's as of yesterday is that it has become harder for people to find replacement b18's to run in stock tegs and there is a huge selection of b20s in california honda parts stores and motor tranny shops that they are allowing the b20 in 4door tegs and civics. I wouldnt show up in a crx with one lol. This came from the mouth of the reff manager yesterday.

You said you just bought a b18c1, that's what I was referring to, not the trans

I got a state ref ticket 2 weeks ago for having a b20b in my eg....figured it'd be easier to put a sohc in and get it cleared....well it wasn't, the little bastard failed the idle smog. I double checked the timing, plugs, wires, dizzy (basically everything i could think of) just so it could fail again. After the 2nd fail I was talking to the ref telling him I had the b20 in and he told me I CAN BAR a b20 in my hatch, as long as I dress it up as a ls (obd1 ecu, manifold and have everything connected). Had I known that before, i wouldn't have even wasted my time throwing that little bitch back in.

Before tint...

After tint...

Painting Trim that the tint guy messed up.

Also painted the bumper since I was already in the paint section.

Seats removed for a serious cleaning.

Seen some good remedies for theses rips on this site but my girlfriend wanted to contribute to the build so she decided to try and reupholster the front seats.

Wheels on... Gsr tranny in... new axles... pretty sure I need to replace the clutch. I had to adjust it and with this transmission im almost to the bottom for some reason. Next step is A/C. Girlfriend wont ride in it anymore because of the heat.

Nice work, finally someone with a better than cellphone camera.

Are you planning on going the poorman's route for the paint or what? (i.e. rustoleum)
