Icon2 Real or Fake Mugen Header?

So I'm no Mugen expert so I thought I'd get everyones opinion. Found this guy selling a full "Mugen" exhaust system, header, down pipe and exhaust. I think it's an obvious fake cause the "Mugen" badge looks like something you would have stamped out in your first week of metal shop and has no JASMA badge either. The welds on it don't have the same craftsmanship as I've seen on Mugen headers. The pipe bends look a little different from all the real Mugen headers I've seen. The seller says he's the third owner and its been used for the last 10 years. Correct me if im wrong guys but I've never seen a used Mugen header that wasn't the goldish color after being used for x amount of time. He says he imported to England from the USA 8 years ago and says the badge is a reweld and it looks like that cause its 10+ years old. The seller is adamant that it's a real Mugen, I personally think he's just trying to tell himself it's real cause he doesn't want to think he paid the Mugen price for a fake setup. Or I could be wrong and the first B series Mugen headers could have looked like that. At the bottom is the link to the eBay page where he has a link to more pics and if you have obvious questions as I did after seeing it feel free to contact him and hear his explanation. I personally got a kick out of some of his explanations course if he turns out to be right i'll look real silly lol. So let me know guys was he correct or was I all wrong.

I wasn't considering buying it, if i was I can find a used one for around $400-$500, I was actually looking up another Mugen part and it popped up on the bottom as a also might be interested in part. I first messaged the guy to break the bad news and let him know it wasn't a real Mugen. Kinda pointed out to him the Mugen badge that looked like it was done at a high school was a dead give away. But he seemed very sure its was legit and wouldn't hear otherwise. It was actually quite comical, you should message him and tell him its fake and see what he says. It'll make you laugh!

Yea def fake lol that was all made by an exhaust shop. Dont spend over 200 dollars on headers. They all do the same **** just try to find something brand name but cheap. And if you have to just wait until some pop up on craigslist because new they are overpriced for the amount of increase in power you only get.

Weed, I didnt say they were the best. Just not the worst. If you pay 600 plus on headers its just because they dont conduct as much heat as others. What a great reason to spend motor money on some headers right.

Don't think eBay cares if it's fake or not. Myself and about 4 others also reported it fake a week ago...still up though. No surprise it hasn't sold though lol
