Need to order some front pads for a 2012 Civic DX. Where did yall order your pads at?
Stealership told my girl $200 to do front pads on her 2012 DX lol!
Car is her daily driver. Should I stay OEM? If so, where did you order your's? Is there anything better as for aftermarket for her DD?

Better question...what did she do in so little time as to need a pad replacement on a car that is a year old or less?
And $200 isn't really too bad if they are doing new OEM pads and new OEM rotors (including labor). You can do it cheaper yourself obviously.

Car has 22k miles already. Alot of commuting for work & weekend trips to the Bay Area. I guess $200 wouldnt be bad from the dealer if it was for rotors included, but its only for pad replacement.
is she riding the brakes?! I've got 33k on my si, and the pads are still about 50%, and that's with me running them pretty hard on occasion. If she's going through pads that fast she needs to check how she's driving with the brakes. They should last at least 60K mi on a dx.
I better check em out myself. Maybe the tech was just trying to sell some brakes during the oil change/inspection. They still owe her 4 oil changes.

Front pads can be had from the dealer for about $60. The rest of the cost is the labor and machining the front rotors. Nobody should be replacing rotors at 20k miles. $200 for a complete front brake job is normal not a rip off at all. Do NOT use autozone pads on a brand new car. OEM civic pads are organic pad and work the best in those cars in terms of noise, feel, and brake dust.
i agree 22k is too early for pads. my mom's 09 lx went 41k before it hit the wear indicators.
the fact the the local parts store doesn't even carry a replacement is further indication that they shouldn't be needed yet.
