Inside Climate Fan Still Blowing with Key Removed
Hey Guys,
I have a 1994 Honda Accord Ex 5 speed. I just noticed this today after changing my alternator.
I woke up this morning to a 4.5 v level battery and have had a bad bearing in my alternator for a couple months. Tested the Battery and it was fine so off I went to AZone for a new alternator.
Changed that out and everything is working perfectly. I had my AC on and left to Home. Got there, pulled out the key and my inside fan is still running WTF?!
I'm guessing that's the actual reason why my battery was dead this morning because I never turn the air off when I get out of the car so it's possible the issue was from the night before.
Any ideas what could be causing this and a remedy?
Much Appreciated!

I just checked the fuse and it is fine.
What's weird is, now it's not doing it anymore...
What could be making it go in/out intermittently like this?

Not the fuse, the relay (it looks like a little box).
I believe the power window relay and radiator fan relay (both located in the under hood fuse/relay box) are the same type. So, you could try swapping one of them to check. You can also test the relay with a test light, multimeter, or continuity tester.
I'll post an image of the location for the blower relay in a moment.

i had the same car same problem. get it fixed now. i did not fix mine until the car sat while i was at work and apparently the fan decided to turn on and drain my battery leaving me stranded when i got off work
and yes mine was the blower motor relay mentioned above

Oh ok. I misread relay/fuse.
I'll check it tomorrow when it's not raining and dark outside and let you know. It sounds probable.
Thanks!

I disco'd the battery for the night so I won't wake up to it being dead. IDK if even having the fan on "off" still might drain the battery so that's my precaution.
