Do cams really effect smog? My brother needs to get his 94 LS smog and has web cams 155 grinds (VALVE LIFT: .395, DURATION: 242, DURATION @.050: 222). Everything else on the motor is stock including stock air box, stock exhaust, stock intake, even the cam gears are stock. do u think he'll pass smog? i want to know too since i wanna get some crowers 403 for my b20b. thanx!

 

come on! this is bs! i know u LS ppl have cams in ur motor and i know most of you have to get ur cars smogged, don't tell me u all pay $250 or watever it is for a fake one.

 

Cams have a major effect on smog. I don't have an LS, so I am not sure how radical the cams he has are, but they can easily cause you to fail smog without proper tuning. Some can't be tuned to pass.
