I was trying to adjust my crank pulley to fix code 9 but now my car doesn't start, it makes a wierd sound when i turn the key like a machine sound or something. How do i reset my cam gear? Here are the things i did to my car.

-removed valve cover, took timing belt off
-adjusted cam gear to up position
- adjusted crank pulley
-started car and doesn't start now

you do know that censer is in the distributor, right?

so now you might have two problems, instead of one.

first you gotta get a new distributor, because if i remember right, you can't just get the censer.

after that, you gotta find out if your car is still on timing. now saying that, as long as you know you are Top Dead Center on the cam, and the crank, you should be ok.

saying that, how do you adjust a crank?

 

How did you try and adjust your crank pulley?

 

by throwing it off time by 5-15 teeth?????
