Default Burnout Rev Limiters

I see these vids of guys having a lower burnout rev limit. What are you guys using? Ignition features? Ems?

I know hondata has it but it sucks *** ATM because it overrides anti lag. I've requested twice for an "anti lag to override burnout" check box so that when you exceed the launch limiter mph it will then flip to burn out rev limit but that hasn't come to fruition obviously yet. Turning over 6 psi 24.5 or 25's on a boosted car on a dead rev limiter strains the hell out of the clutch and stuff.

Whaddup?

From what i can see. A lot of guys have rear wheel speed sensors. So basically when your doing your burnout the ecu is seeing the car is not moving. So your basically gonna do your burnout using your launch limiter rpm. If you set your launch limiter to go off at 2-3mph u can start doing the burnout then let the car roll alil and it will rev out more to get alil more wheel speed.

Watch jakes 10.00x pass video. The in-car video of burnout. You can see what i am talking about

I have had good succes with the s300 burn out limiter. Flip the switch and I have burn out limit set to 7500rpm that builds over 15 pounds of boost and easily smokes the 25's. Let the smoke clear, flip back the switch, and my standard 6k 2-step is back on tap.

Couldn't you just use a map switch and have the same exact tune and settings on both maps except the only changes being your launch and burnout changes.

Just like guys use to map switch between different fuels.

3 step Matt. We use s300 and we have a burnout limiter wired. U can wire it to ur defroster or something like that , just remember to turn it off before the run or ur be hitting the limiter all the way down the track. But it Definately helps from doing 9500 rpm burnouts.

my antilag and launch stuff is usually set in the 7000 vicinity, when i tried using the burnout feature a while back at like 8000 it was just a TURD. I didnt know what the hell was going on. The idea of swapping the map isnt such a bad idea i don't guess but I'm not a fan of that in a racing application. (a switch to flip between maps)

Some other setting is off, you should be ableto build mad boost at 8K for the BO rev limit.

Whats the point? We don't use a special rev limiter for the S300 cars, we put the car in 3rd gear and do the burnout.

Am I missing something? We arent blowing up motors in the burnout box, are you?

I thought about putting in a switch to disable it in the burnout but I knew that I would forget to turn it back lol

what values do you set on s300 to build enough boost on burnout and during launch? doesn't it hurt the turbo?

You can always add a msd digital 7 they have burnout limiters and all that good stuff. The motec knows when to set the burnout limiter just it in 3rd gear and it's set

The Motec only knows what you tell it to know and do.

ill probably turn my data logger switch into a burnout limiter switch in the calibration file and play with it and see how it does. Forgot it only takes a few seconds to do that.

I just want to know if it can be done properly with s300.
What values should be set to get enough boost for burnout and launch.
Does setting antilag harm the turbo that much?
