All the pte jb billet we bought used -4 all failed, bent shaft, compwheel hitting the housing.

We are very lucky interms of reliability with bw and garrett units.

Last time I talked to the guys at PTE, they recommended a -4 feed w/o restrictor for the 676X journal bearing turbo. This was back in December so maybe something has changed?

I run a -4 because that's what pte recomends. I personally believe I should be running a -3 because with a -4 it started blowing oil out the exhaust. I sent the turbo to precision twice under warranty and they repaired the turbo. It's not blowing out oil anymore but I'm almost positive with a -3 I would've never had to go on that head ache. I think instead of recommending a size hose they should recommend a specific oil pressure

i called a few months ago and was told to use a -3 with a -10 return, if it starts to smoke change to a -12...i went with a -12 anyway because the return line is somewhat long

well an update I guess

I changed to a -3 feed and I had a dramatic decrease in smoke on my last outting which was june 1. I actually don't even recall seeing ANY smoke as a matter of fact.
