oh boy, lots of duff gen being passed on here
Type S does NOT have the oem kit, it has a smaller front lip than the OEM kit, and has the colored side and rears like the Type SH.
Type S does NOT have an LSD, only ATTS, the SiR S-Spec has the LSD
Right hand drive
red valve cover, foglights, 3 spoke steering wheel, red stitching.....don't think it has the nav system

oh yeah, and the rear spoiler is a little taller than the US version.......the older Type S, like 97-98, had a little flush mounted spoiler, similar to what you'd find on a Cavalier Z24

the type s is a stripped down, higher output car. NO SUNROOF, NO RADIO, it has a lot of other minor weight savings things too. it's intended for road racing, and o, it does not have ATTS, it's got an LSD, b/c it is less weight with the same beneifts.
boosted boosted boosted......do your research my friend....
Its not a Type R, its a type S, meaning Sporty, but not stripped down
the Type S has ATTS, not an LSD....the SiR S-Spec has the LSD
It has Climate control, and the option for a Nav system.....

I have seen a Type S Prelude at HIN in Seattle this year. Besides the right hand drive, 3 spoke steering wheel, better engine, front lip, flare under passenger foot area, kickass climate control, and etc.... it didn't look much different than a USDM Prelude.

I know there wasn't a type R......
we can go on and on all day
but if you look up Prelude Type S on google or something, i will bet you all of the hits you get will say the it has ATTS and not an LSD...
The Type S badge is by no means a race model.....that's what the Type R badge is for. Type S is a combo of Sportiness and Luxury...you think the CL TYpe S is a stripped down version of a CL?

by the way, a direct, translated quote from the Honda Japan Home page, before prelude production was stopped:
Prelude Type S The Prelude Type S is a car
which Honda put much effort in making it sporty,
yet elegant. Honda dubs this, "Intelligent Sport".
(or sportiness) The Type S boasts an impressive
100hp/liter engine, producing 220ps from 2.2
liters (2,156cc) utilizing its VTEC technology. It
also comes with the new Prelude's signature ATTS (Active Torque
Transfer System)

First, please see the official Honda 2000 MY Prelude site:

Boosted was partially right. The standard Prelude Type S had NO stereo/radio at all. But you could order a factory option package that bundled the Nav system and a 6 speaker AFSB stereo in the TypeS.
However, ALL Prelude TypeS' had the ATTS. The one with the LSD was a model called the "Prelude SiR S-Spec".
