Accord crank in H22A block
I got my hands on a 93 f22 crank and swapped into my 93 H22a block. When I started the engine I had about 60psi of oil, but when the car gets hot @ 4000rpm’s I cannot get over 55psi so VTEC doesn’t come on. Has this happened to anyone? I need so help!!
Pardon my ignorance....
But I didn't think F cranks went into H blocks?
And what is the purpose of this swap?
Thanks.
And wouldn't the different sized crank affect how much oil your suposed to use? Maybe you need more?
And it could be something completely un-related to your crank swap. Oil pump? Filter? I doubt it but it's possible.

did you use the correct crank and rod bearings having a bigger size bearing will drop oil pressure, also did you modify the oil squirters if not did you take them out and plug the outlet with a 2.3 plug. did you use the accord's rod too.
@ 4000 I get about 60psi so when the VTEC opens the oil pursuer drops under 50psi and can not keep the vtec rockers locked in place.
What OIL clearance should I be using to build my engine?
