Default ECU Help - B18c, P73, Hondata S200

Hi guys,

Hopefully you can help me out on this one.

I have recently bought a JDM 96 Honda Integra Type R racecar. It is running a B18c engine with original loom through a P73-003 ECU and Hondata S200 system

I want to fit an AIM SOLO DL datalogging unit to the car to measure driver and car performance. This datalogger is a plug and play solution for OBDII systems - it gives all sorts of engine paramaters (temps, pressures, throttle position, revs etc) aswell as GPS capabilities.

So...The question I have is this:

Is there any way of feeding the Datalogger with the information it requires as the ECU is not OBDII and therefor is not plug and play. Maybe a converter or a PIN OUT diagram of the ECU?

Bit of a newbie when it comes to engine management so no big words please

Thanks,
Barry

A P73 ECU is OBD2 and is not compatible with a Hondata s200. All Hondata systems will only work with an OBD1 ECU from the list at http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html

Thanks Spunkster, I was going on it being a P73 as that is what the seller told me, seems that is incorrect.

Presuming it is an OBD1 ECU (I am waiting to hear back from the raceteam on ECU code)
is it possible to extract the following data and send to a OBD2 compatible datalogger

Throttle Position
Revs
Water Temp
Oil Pressure

Your best bet is to upgrade to an s300 system which has on board datalogging capabilities and can log all of those channels & additional inputs.
