Default Injectors aren't working

91 DX Hatch with a 87 D16A1 (89 Intake manifold). Getting fuel all the way up to the injectors but no fuel into the motor. My resistor box is from an 88-91 si. Will it still work?

Side note: plug for box has 5 wires, plug for harness has 6 wires.

Do you have a power source to the resistor box?

I'm not positive. I have it plugged in and bolted into the car. But I'm no means an electrician. Most I can do is run wiring and use a volt meter.

If you tell me what wires to test I'll put a volt meter on it.

the resitor box should work fine, all its doing is reducing voltage from 12v down to 5v.

Yeah. Give me about 35-45 minutes and I'll have it up.

Here's the plug coming from the resistor box

This is the plug from the harness. The top purple one lines up with the red wire on the box. The bottom purple one is the extra wire.

I also just put a voltmeter right on the injectors. Getting a reading of 5-6 volts at the injectors.

I don't think it'd be a bad ground. Everything else works just not the injectors. I'm leaning towards bad injectors. Is there a way I can test them?

Oh ok. Wasn't sure which slot the power wire went to on the resistor box so I put it for both. The red wire coming from the resistor box lines up with one of the purple sites right. And then the other 4 wires should line up with the black wires coming from the resistor box

So I only need the one purple and don't worry about the other? And also, I fudged up trying to get that plug out. It was stuck and I managed to pull all the wires out. So I need to put them back on. Any specific order or can I just plug them in anywhere as long as the power one is in the right spot?

Any order will work as long as the purple wire lines up with the red wire. The others make no difference, you can leave the other purple wire in since it won't be connected to anything, it will capped off on the resistor box side

Alright. And I'm still gettin nothin from the injectors. I feel like it's bad injectors. Is there a way I can test them?

If they are bad you should get a check engine light, any codes

I'm only getting a code 8 for TDC which I'm guessing I'm just barely off on timing cuz I just replaced the belt.

Have you pulled out one of the spark plugs to see if they are covered in fuel?

I haven't done that but I double checked I was getting fuel up to the rail and then pulled the rail off and watched the injector tips as my girl turned the motor.

As far as I can tell no fuel.

I'm pretty sure that my rings are shot which is why my spark plugs are covered in oil. I also have to get the front and rear main seals replaced and I'm still scratchin my head with why this wont run.
To be perfectly honest I'm really starting to lean towards gettin a ZC and just dropping it in here cuz it'll probably cost me less and I'll have more power. But before I consider that will my PG7 ECU run an 86-87 ZC and will the harness fit it?
