ok bought a 1991 teg the guy said it had an Ls in it but the spiders gears where shot so he went and bought a gsr trans . i took both apart started counting teeth to find ratio , the gsr matched but not the Ls, and i want an Ls fifth gear but want to make sure this is an Ls thanks

There's more than one cable LS trans, the only one you can use 5th out of is a '92 - '93 YS1 Cable trans.

 

The tooth counts are off on the LS tranny.

Matter of fact it appears to be a B16 tranny.

Check your tooth count!
