gsr harness on b20 vtec????
i have a 97 civic ex with b20vtec turbo swap i was needing a engine harness to get it running so i bought one from a guy that said he had one out of his gsr. For the most part the harness is the same but there are no plugs to the ecu does anyone know why?
gsr harness is different. it doesnt go all the way to the cabin to the ecu. only eg and dc are compatible. you are better off using your stock harness. vtec wires and eveything is still there you might need to extend a few plugs. gsr harness will not work.
damn so i pretty much wasted that money i thought since they were both b series that they would work plus thats what the guy told me also.... Any one need a gsr harness
2 piece design for the gsr harness. They have the ecu plugs in the cabin on a separate harness. Those 3 plugs plug into the harness in the cabin through 3 plugs that come out from around the shock tower. Hence my smartass remark for why that harness didn't need a set of plugs for the ecu since the other harness already has them. If no one buys the harness you could always play with it and try to make a custom harness out of it. Good learning experience.
