VIR This Weekend
I would like to thank everyone for showing me around this weekend. This seems like a great series and a great group of people. I look forward to competing with you just as soon as I get the schooling done. My first event will be an HPDE at Summit Pt. this Nov.
I have some pictures and video clips from this weekend. They will be on a different website than the one posted below. We are currently reworking the site so that it can include coverage from ECHC.

Great to have you with us now, and John is still staying.. Hope to see you out on the tracks soon, but learn a lot with HPDE's, the instruction is priceless...
Nice meeting you Beno. The #88 (what number is it going to be now anyway?) car will be a great place for you to learn track driving, then racing.
Watch out for that Floyd guy though. Rumour is that he cheats and steals aero parts off of other H5 cars while the owners aren't looking.

Well ya know I WAS going try to use that BLING BLING yellow splitter as a pimpy rear deck spoiler but John did a really thorough job of bending it up in his off, so badly that no amount of pounding with the sledgehammer, while John stared at me and shook his head
, would straighten it out! Oh well....
And hey, I found it in the trashcan, and finders keepers, splitter losers weepers!
I guess I'll get my own ultra-pimp RRG.com air dam and splitter soon!!
Beno, it was great getting to meet you, I can't wait til next season. I hope we get a few more H5 cars and really have a great season. I know you're gonna love it, this is a great crowd of people...
See ya in '03!

Beno,
Ditto what Richard said........it was great meeting you!
Again, Good Luck with the #88 ( or........ 08). I like Yack ( and the rest of these race car owners) get kinda attached to these machines.
So take good care of her. Run the hell out of it............ but take care of her!
The H5 Civic was the 2nd most reliable car in the field!
(10 races, 3 full test days and ZERO broken parts)
(Over 1100 race miles this year!- yes I turned over 1100 comp. miles in the ECHC in 2002)
The most reliable is setting in my shop.
Road racing is a whole new ballgame from what you have been doing but most of the skills will transfer over. Have fun, spend time with the Instructors, ask tons of questions and you'll be fine!
I will argue to the end of time you are approuching w-2-w racing in the best possible way.
1. Your a super experienced Auto-Xer
2. You bought a dependable pre-made race car.
3. You bought a inexpensive race car to learn with.
4. You are knowlegeble about the car, already have a similar Auto-x car.
5. You will be learning with a low-HP car!!!!!!! When you do move up it will pay off.
Please feel free to call or e-mail if you have any questions with the ol'#88!
Good Luck at School!!!!!
BTW. Forgot to tell you this weekend!
EAR PLUGS! She doesn't go much over 120 but damn loud!
