Default Keystone Raceway Recap(Pittsburgh)

I met Dave Daniels from J & D Motorsports Saturday morning at the Rt. 70 park and ride and we drove through the rain up to Pittsburgh to the track praying the whole time it would clear up as forecasted. Luck was reluctantly on our side. After a long rain delay and a very positive track owner we actually made this thing happen. Many people enjoyed doing the laps around the track during the drizzle to keep the surface dry so we could resume racing quicker. Thanks again to Frank Tedesco the track owner for sticking it out for us.

Back to the classes- Dave was running 12.8's on street tires in motor 4 to win the class, an AWD Elipse with full Slicks on all four corners took Power 4 with a few 10.0 runs against Kevin Black running mid 10's fighting traction in his Scirocco. I took Motor 6 and a grand national took power 6 with an Audi S4(old school) as runner up.

The track was very nice considering the conditions and the workers very helpful. If you live in the Pittsburgh area and have not been there I suggest you give it a shot when you get a chance. Allthough this event was put together last minute they had a decent turnout with the threatening weather. over 40 cars trying to qualify in Motor 4, 16 in Power 4, 12 in Motor 6, and 12 in Power 6. I hope to make a few of the events again next year and see more of you out there.

Anthony
