My fuel pump went up and I replaced it with a xenocron 255. The car started right up and drove fine and strong. I drove it later that night and it died after it got warm and stalled out. I tried to give it gas when it was dying and the car had no response. The fuel pump will come on and prime. I also have spark but the car wouldn't start. I waited a few minutes after trying to start it and it finally started. It drove and then a few minutes later it stalled and restarted. I drove it more and it stalled again and wouldn't restart. I came back to it later that night and it started and stalled again when driving, but restarted each time. When I finally got home it died and wouldnt restart and the fuel pump wasnt coming on. I tried switching out the main relay and the map sensor and still no response. The car would crank but not start. I let it sit a few days and it started right up. The fuel pump primed and I have spark. But it stalls after driving a feet and then won't restart. I've checked all my grounds and cleaned them up. No the car only cranks. Any help would be appreciative.

 

So after a while the fuel pump stopped priming? Did that only happen once?

Check your fuel pump relay, should be under the dash.

 

Yea it only happened the one time it primes now but won't start. The distributor has about 20 k on it new igniter and coil and cap rotor. Id really hate to have to replace it.

 

How much fuel do you have in the tank?

Put more gas in and see...

 

Check fuel pressure, your pump could be running but not actually pumping anything to the front.

I just ohm tested the distributor and coil and all checks out. I'm about to double check the ICM

 

It was low on gas. Guess the pick up sits higher then the factory pump on these.

 

So it runs fine now that you put gas in it? Damn im a noob, I shoulda said check for fuel before anything....

 

Well it had a quarter tank but I guess the pick up filter sits higher on these pumps. My walbro in my hatch never had this problem.

For Honda applications using a 341 pump, we recommend that instead of using the generic fuel pump install kit, you re-use or replace the fuel pump sock with an OEM or aftermarket replacement sock from your local auto parts store.

 

I think i will have to do this because now at a half tank my car stalls when I come to stops. Since this is a known problem though, xenocron as a company should fix this issue. Why sell a product that you know is not fully capable nor reliable.
