Well what are your power goals? Best mod (cheap) is a F23 intake manifold with a bigger throttle body. After get a good header and exhaust, and maybe a new cam. Get it tuned and it will run nicely. How much power do you want to make?

Thanks for the advice! last night I was at the races so far I'm still the fastest stock honda out there and beat a couple of civics with some heavy mods but I put 110 octane before I raced those modded D and B series engine and I'm still winning I got people telling me my engine is not stock or that it's the jap version I keep telling them I'm just a stock 2.2 honda accord but my power goals are not to much for this engine I plan on buying another f22b1 to work on but for now I just want to see how far I can push this block on stock internals

Waste of money on the gas. You aren't tuned for it, you didn't change anything on the engine requiring it. ****, I've got a supercharger going on my S2000 and will still be running 93 octane.

And as much of a fan of Accords that I am, I don't believe you. A stock D series with an intake and exhaust? Probably. A "heavily modded" one, I don't think so. A good friend with a cheap turbo kit on his D-series was far more powerful than my H22A swapped Accord was.

Regarding power, there are a few routes to go and there are plenty of threads on each:
- turbo f22
- n/a f22
- h22 (or similar) swap

Maybe I shouldn't have said heavy mods buddy said he had full exhaust headers intake and I think he said cam gears he's the one that told me my engine is a jap but it's not it's made in USA

Well guy, I can see you beating alot of stock civics, unless they're SI's. Anyway theres not TOO much to be proud of here but congrats on the wins. On another note. What condition is your motor in? If you are not planning for over 300whp then your bottom end should be good as far as the turbo goes. BUT if you dont tune it right your ringlands WILL give out and you might be pissed. So since you will have 2000 dollars to work with i would suggest piecing the turbo together. It will be alot cheaper. Find a used chipped ecu. You are looking at about $500 alone for that. Tune is going to cost you about another $400 dollars. The list can go on.

Yea man slap a turbo on and tune it. Just do your research though. Be patient and find quality parts for cheap. They are out there.

Here's some advice:

How about stop racing until you have something more than a stock Accord

It is the cylinder position sensor and it is located in the distributor. Only way to fix it, if it is bad, would be to replace the complete distributor housing. There are test procedures to verify if it is the senor, it's wiring or maybe the ECU that is the issue.

PM sent

As for your power goals with your budget....boost would be the way to go, You should be able to find a chipped OBD1 ECU for less than $500. They usually sell for around $200 for what you would need. Saving money for tuning is the key to the entire build. Get in touch with whomever you are going to have tune your car. Talk to them and see what they have for suggestions. You can't just throw a turbo kit on your engine and hope that it works properly. larger injectors maybe a higher volume fuel pump yadda yadda yadda!

you need to get rid of your honda and ruin something else... getting rid of the rev limiter for what? so you can blow your motor? maybe thatd be good for you tho... get you off the road... revving a stock car past the stock limit is just stupid.. but to each his own. seems like youre trying to get a cheap thrill and though hondas are cheap you wont get a supercar for no money... save your money and invest in REAL UPGRADES not taking off stuff you actually need like governor and rev limiter... that gov is there TO KEEP YOU ALIVE... the general population could totally do without idiots like you driving 135+ and killing yourself or worse an innocent bystandard

doesnt sound like your a grown *** man if your trying to race a stock accord against other slow cars...i was around that maturity when i was 16-17

putting 110 octane in your car will do nothing to your car but waste your money since your not tuned no even have any mods to back it up

also it doesnt matter if your f22b(X) is from the us or japan...they are the same

If that's how much chipped P28's go for then I should go into the business of chipping them.......

I bought one (stock) for $80 and purchased the parts to make it 'chippable' for $25. That included a ZIF socket so you could easily remove the chip AND a I installed a USB header.
