Race Fuel VS Water/Meth
I'm trying to decide on race fuel or water/meth for my street/strip car. I don't wanna hear which is better, I just want to know:
-About how much race fuel do you use going to the track vs how many passes, basically how much fuel per pass?
-If you run water/meth, about how much water/meth do you go through vs how many passes?
I basically just wanna compare the cost and see if water/meth will be cheaper based on how much I drag race.

I think water/meth would be the better choice. Alot cheaper than race gas and its not being used unless ur in boost. How much power does the car make? Whats the setup?
No question water/meth will be cheaper, fuel wise. But, you have to factor in the costs of all that extra stuff to run meth too. It might end up being cheaper still with that added, but its not worth it IMO...too much can go wrong
Regardless of the extra stuff. They have fail safes incase anything goes wrong and ur not gonna drive around ALL the time with racegas so ur limited to the power u can make. Water/meth is proven to work fine and the car can have the same power on the street as on the track. But hey if u got the money to burn run race gas all the time on street. I know a GTR that runs Q16 ALL THE TIME.
I know the water/meth kit is about $400, so I'm trying to figure how much water/meth it uses each run down the track vs amount of fuel it uses. I might hit the track a couple times a month in the summer, so I wanna see if it will pay off in the end. I know water/meth usage is less than race fuel, but if I don't race that much it might be cheaper just to use race fuel. I would have pump gas on the street and even if I have the water/meth I wouldn't be hitting high boost on the street that much. Just wanna know how much you guys use of each.

I'm not going to use E85, it's a street car and in the end it's not worth it. I just need some answers to the questions I ask, I've already heard everybodys opinions on each.
Are you? I just wanted to know a couple questions with no opinions, but all I hear is everybodys opinions. I don't want to run E85 because there are very few stations around here, and the decreased fuel efficency/having to drive longer distances to get it out weigh the lower cost. I don't need full boost on the street, when I go to the drag strip I wanna throw the slicks on and either fill up some race fuel or activate the water/meth. I'll ask the questions again, I don't wanna hear your opinions on which is better (been covered over and over):

jesus dude!!! It has been answered. I drive an SRT-4 and a lot of the stock turbo guys run water/meth and get pretty significant gains.
YES YES YES is will be cheaper (in the long run) than running race fuel. Now go get your kit!!

The water/meth kit is $400 vs $10 or so a gallon for race fuel. The water/meth mixture cost $30 for four gallons. That is $7.50 a gallon. It will be cheaper in the long run, but I need to know how much fuel you use during a pass vs water/meth during a pass to see if it's even worth for me. If I buy the $400 kit and use 4 gallons of water/meth = $430 but if I use race fuel and use 20 gallons it will still be alot cheaper than the water/meth. This is why I want to know. The time you guys wasted not reading my question all the way and giving me your opinion, you could of just read it and gave me some number in the same amount of time. It's like someone who asks where the closest gas station is, and everybody says "why do you need gas," or "why are you driving" without answering a simple question.
Why can't you guys just answer my damn question. I don't care about which is better or which will cost less over time. I just want to know how much you guys use of each.

If your worried about cost, then your in the wrong hobby. Also i pay alot more than $10 a gallon for race fuel. I dont know exactly how much fuel i use every run. Do you even need to run race fuel or would 93 work fine? Unless u have a nice amout of hp i would say just stick with pump.
What exactly don't I know? I'm going to need some kind of fuel or injection for higher boost levels, it will be a street car (daily driver) and I don't want to use E85 (I have my reasons, so get over it). So I'm left with race fuel or water/meth, since I won't be going to the track that much I wanted to see just how much the price difference would be in the long run. Alot of guys are all talk, you believe that water/meth is cheaper in the long run, but did you check the numbers?
Seems like everyone I talk to now says the same thing, honda-tech is a waste of time, you can't get a straight answer because no one reads the question. If I asked which is better or cheaper, then I would have my answer, but I didn't. By the way, on another forum I asked the same question and got my answer without the BS or
dude your not going crazy no one is ansering you because most of the people posting are hatters and instead of not saying anything they hate. i go to the track maybe 3 time a mouth and burn about 5 gallons of fuel each time maybe aliitle less its a 315hp da
Good luck.
