Default Fuel Gauge issue

Hey guys! I was just wondering if there was a way to calibrate the fuel gauge? Since mine automatically moves to full when it's not full when I'm driving. It'll return to normal position to show how much gas is really in the tank once the car has been sitting for a while. The gauge is from a 89 civic lx sedan I picked up from the jy. That only seems to be the only real problem besides the speedo needle jumping while accelerating. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did this occur with your old/original gauge?

Not really, the speedo did. I think it needs to be calibrated but that would require sending it to Honda I think. I guess I can raid the local junk yards to find a new temp/fuel gauges and swap them.
