Icon2 Is this possible?!

I've just bought a 1990 crx it runs just not like I what it to. This is my first tuner of any kind I've always worked on muscle but I was wanting something that not to many people have or thought about having. And i come up with sticking a v6 drivetrain in place of the wimpy lil 1.6 i have now. but id like to know what I'm getting myself into and if it would be worth it. so any ideas or comment would help out alot

on that budget its definitely doable ....just start googling j series ef swaps and research whats needed .... i know it can be done but apparently the transmission is the hardest thing to track down as only a couple will work

Ive been lookin around and figured out i could make my crx AWD and that would be so much better and more unique but can i change the bellhousing on a crv transmission to fit a j30a or if the tranny would hold up to a j37a1 thats about 300 hp and 275 lb-ft or better yet what can i get a manual AWD transmission out of that will bolt up and hold up

So you have no fab skills but want to do one of the most complicated swaps possible? Good luck with that.

Put a fwd turbo b-series in it and call it a day. It's easy, can make more power than nearly any v6 Honda ever has, and can be done well within your budget.

Why hasn't this thread been locked already? Haha, letting the poor kid dream away. For what you are talking you should already know it will cost you $10-20k in labor! If you have enough money absolutely ANYTHING is possible. Rather than day dream all day, actually take some time to do some research of your own. Everyone is spoon feeding you a little too much.

dreams can come true diffidently if your as stubborn as me and i dont see it costing 20gs just to put a motor in and if even comes close ill just go with my original idea of putting a newer accord drivetrain
