We took our RSX out for some more testing & ran a new PB of 10.31@144mph.

We had a high mph of the night of 148mph, & our best 60ft has been a 1.66. Neither of these was on our 10.31 pass, So w/ a good 60ft and a nice back half this set-up def has a 9sec pass in it.

This is a full street car weighing 2700lbs, w/ full interior, Leather seats, Audio, Power locks, Power windows, Sunroof, ABS, Airbags, etc. The car is about 200lbs too heavy for the true street class.

Right now it has a basic engine in it(made 655whp). Its just pistons, rods, springs & retainers. This engine belongs to a customer & is being shipped to him soon. We are building another engine for it now w/ pistons, rods, ported head, GATO IM, 84mm TB, & Cams. We should make well over 700whp w/ this one.

We will most likely have at MIR. Should be fun to run the Worlds Fastest True Street RSX in front of a crowd at MIR. Hopefully by then we'll be the Worlds Fastest Turbo RSX period.... Just .40secs way from that title(w/ a full interior, leather seats, PW, PL, ABS, Airbags, etc)

Yes sir, nonein 9s yet. Most likely due to the fact that they are a heavy car, & are newer more expensive chassis. There is not a single Turbo RSX in the 9s yet. We are working on becoming the 1st

Definitely a lot of room for improvement. Get your 60' down and you'll be in the 9's with minor changes

 

Yes sir. Small Tire + Heavy car= hard to 60ft.

We usually cut 1.66-1.70 60fts, & we have some new rear springs n the way. Hopefully w/ the stiffer rear springs & an alignment we can get this thing to 60ft better.

I know theres some room for improvement on the chassis side of things on those cars look into some of the bushing kits they make if you havent already

 

x2 agreed. We have not addressed much in the suspension yet. All we have is a set Tein SS full coilovers, set to max stiff n the rear. The bushing are all stock, w/ over 100k on them. They do make solid LCA bushings for the car so we will eventually replace those also.

Have you ever tested with a EP3 trans to see comparison to 6 speed and not having to shift into 5th gear and having longer 1st gear?

 

We have not tested that yet, But we will be trying out the EP3 1st gear along w/ a taller 5th gear since we are already going thru the traps at 9500rpm. -148mph.. The longer 1st gear should greatly benefit our 60fts.

Here we go again. Yes I know about Chris Chang. His car is does not fit the True Street Class Rules. He is on a 26in tall tire(26x10). Class max is 24.5

He is using a 72mm turbo. Class max turbo size is a 67mm.

Our car is on a 24.5x8.5x15 tire & uses a 62mm turbo.

KMOD RSX= True Street class car
Chris Chang= Outlaw class car

Plus our car is 2700lbs and full interior, w/ Leather seats, audio, ABS, Power locks, Power windows, sunroof, Airbags etc.

Just to clarify for my own benefit. There is no true street class in Texas? You don't have true street there but T/S is in your signature which up our way means True Street... What does it mean there?

 

In order to use ep3 1st gear you will have to use ep3 2nd gear also.

I would try a complete ep3, I've seen few 9 sec cars running ep3 trans.

 

When I lived up north thats the class i fit in until I went with 3 piece front end...My car could fall anywhere between TS or Sfwd which is also a street class.

I see Chris' car as a street car it has pw pl stock dash, with interior and he ran stock RSX brakes and had to run bigger rims and tires to compensate. It was just a question you can have your title...Make it run 9s!

 

You are correct. It woul have to be an Ep3 1st & 2nd.
We will be testing a few diff combinations & a an EP3 trans will be one of them.

We run stock RSX Type-S brakes also, and we use a set of 24.5x8.5x15 wheels.
