Default My CRX Build

Ok it started about a month ago I picked up a rather clean 86 CRX DX for cheap.

A friend told his dad he wanted a crx for his first car. His dad had it shipped up from NC to PA. When it showed up and was a first gen that needed alot of work he lost hope and it sat at his house for a yr.

I sold my del sol and went right to his house and bought it from his dad. Drove it 20min to my garage and with in 3 hours it was gutted to be repainted

I planed to leave the stock motor and trans till i couldn't make it run right.

my buddy made a joke Why not just swap a z6 like the sol had into this tiny car with that it took me a week to get most the parts needed to do the swap.

d15b2 bottom end
z6 top end
del sol si trans
fuel cell with a 255
b7 engine harness
z6 auto inner harness
chipped p28

as the car now sits motor and trans are in, most the wiring is done. Fuel cell is in and lines are ran to the motor.

has d series EK linkage in it. had to cut about 5in out to make it fit my shell.

dash has been modified to hold the eg cluster

the car will have no heat, ac or power steering . due to the added fuse boxs and wiring from the EG

the day i bought it

later that nite

2 days later

the new motor and trans

motor and trans are in. axles fit great on its way back to my garage. the wifes ek in the background

Cool man, quick work. Glad someone could save it from being a yard ornament and bring it back to life. How's the interior condition?

Alright a first gen. Those are cool. Are you keeping the torsion bars? I think that same year integra suspension was a popular mod back in the day.

Yes im gonna keep the torsion bars on it and just lower it a little bit with em. and leave the stock suspension in it since i had to make axles for it using half the crx stock ones. and the inner part that goes into the tranny from a 95 civic.

i cant wait till it runs should only be around 1600-1700lbs w/o me in it.
