sway bar for 2012 civic lx?
hey all, my sister just bought a new civic lx and she wants a rear sway bar. She had a tsx before and she loved the addition of a 22mm rear sway bar and she wants one for the civic too. Any recommendations? The car is purely stock and she wont be doing anything else to it other than this rear sway bar to eliminate some body roll.
The 8th will work there is about a 1/2" difference in the bars for the 9th.
I have 2 hanging in my basement a Progress 22mm, and a Eibach 19mm? I had them on my 12 si for a short time before I traded it worked great helped that soft si .
Make me an offer.

You'll need the rest of the '12 Si pieces for a larger sway to work on your '12 LX (brackets, L-pieces, bolts, etc). Look at the parts differences online then order accordingly.

Here is the deal on the 2012 Civic LX... the 2006-11 aftermarket bars fit, but you have to use the L bracket and hardware from the 2012 Civic Si with it.
Eibach does have a 19mm rear swaybar listed for the LX because you have to purchase 2 things from them (both the swaybar and the adapter kit....like just buying the Si parts).
What I would do is purchase the Si L bracket and hardware (bolts, bushing carriers, etc) and then get the Progress rear bar because it's 22mm and will definitely make the car handle better than the 19mm bar will.
Also, if you ever feel like the car is understeering (front tires are giving up), that means that you are an aggressive driver and you need more camber in front. There are some camber bolts you can purchase for the front of the Civic that make a world of difference. If you push the 2012 Civic hard, you will notice some extreme understeer. If you use 1 camber bolt per side, that will give you a touch over 1 degree of front camber and will make a huge difference in how well the car will handle in hard cornering. The 2012 Civic EX/LX uses the 81260 bolts (Ingalls, SPC, etc) where the 2012 CIvic Si uses the 81280 bolts.
Hope that helps.
I've been doing a ton of suspension work on these cars; so if you have a questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
