my civic 240k miles.. has a detonation issue, it sorta seems like a misfire but its only at idle and when my car is hot...or warmed up. mostly during the day it does this rapid/ constant when its warm outside, but at night when its cool it doesnt do it as much.

The video doesnt give it justice and its louder in person and i can feel it throughout the car.

What seems to make you think the issue/noise you have is detonation, which is almost virtually impossible at zero load, idle condition. Im trying not to be a loose cannon, but I dont think that detonation is your issue.

 

Video doesn't tell us anything. Are you throwing any CELs?
