So after all of my troubles of trying to figure out why my Prelude wouldn't start, I opened the ECU and saw that I had fried it. Now I'm looking for one locally and it seems as though the 1996 Prelude is kind of rare.

I need to know which (if any) other ecu can work in my '96 Prelude Si non vtec? of course it's obd2

Just some cliff notes of my last no start post:
-had a slight misfire
-did a tune up, plugs, cap, wire, rotor, air filter, etc
-still misfiring; I tested fuel pressure, compression, timing, etc found out I was getting no spark
- I pulled plug wires one by one (while running) to see if I had a dead cylinder and it stalled on cylinder #4 and cut off and I haven't been able to start it up since then.
-listening to all these so called mechanics, I chgd the igniter, crank sensor, timing belt, balance shaft belt and coil only to get the same results. NOTHING
- I finally had a good friend mechanic look at the car and after he tested all the wiring, he pulled computer and opened it to find that my ecu was fried....





WHAT OTHER ECU CAN BE USED FOR MY '96 non VTEC PRELUDE Si?

 

get an obd2 to obd1 harness and get an obd1 ecu
