Can anyone tell me if a "DIN" gauge pod will fit properly in the tape deck area on a 98 Coupe (ie. behind the cup holder)? I've read posts here that say this opening is not actually DIN size, and others that say it is?

I'm thinking something like this:

No. Those are held in by tension. There's no where in that area to apply tension to the ends. I tried. Now my deck is there and my gauges are up top. So your implication that Ebay product are crap does not apply here.
