Icon2 brake lights stay on...

well i have a 98 gsr db8 and just today when i went to my car the battery was completely dead, so i jumped it went home and they were on, wat causes that and is there somethin i need to adjust or replace? thanx for yalls input and help...

brake switch is stuck or you need to adjust it. It is connected on top of the brake pedal.

Actually, what is more likely the cause is the blue piece you have shown there has fallen a part and is probably on your floor?

If that piece is gone the switch remains on, which sounds like whats going on. Honda replaced the blue unit with hard plastic pieces.

It can be this as well. It takes very little play for the brake lights to come on.

Ok cool ill try and adjust it but if that blue piece came off wat do I have to do to turn the lights off , would I have to replace the whole thing or is there a trick to fix it...thanx guys for yall help greatly appreciate it...

i epoxied a penny on my ef then i was feelin rich and electrical taped a quarter on my ek

Just pick up a new one at Acura.

A quick fix is to install a nut and bolt in the hole, bolt head facing switch.

To turn off the brake lights for now, eithe disconnect the batt. or unplug the brake light switch. 94
