E Brake button spring?

Default E Brake button spring?

My ebrake button is recessed, it still works fine but I'd to get it back to normal. Is there a spring inside that can be replaced? Any help appreciated.

96 Civic LX 5 speed

I had to cut the plastic off to install my NRG ebrake cover That might tell you something.
