I would run the full DA brake system with steel braided lines and carbon kevlar pads. I did my DA front and rear brake swap back in 99 and love it. No brake fade what so ever from 130 mph!

The 90-93 Integra, 90-91 Civic Ex, 91 Prelude Si, and 90+ Integra (non-ABS) used the 10.3" front rotors with a 15/16" master and 4040 prop valve.

vs

The 88-91 CRX Si that used the 9.5" front rotors with a 13/16" or 7/8" master and 2040 prop valve.

How could you say no???

Hi i ran it fine no problems , I used a 89 prelude master cylinder , stock booster with drums out back, stock prop valve , stock everything else....worked fine. no locking up or anything like that. But the da brakes /knuckle was heavier than stock for only 1" ....so i'd stick with stock...i don't think it stopped any better really vs refreshed stock brakes with a new MC and good pads lines.

what do you mean by not equiped to remove the rear trailing arms?????
if your removing you knucles your more than equiped to remove the rtas

when your putting bigger brakes on the ef with the 13/16 mc all it will do the pedal will have to travel a bit more cuz of the bigger caliper you will be fine i have rear disk and im still running the old 13/16 mc with stock prop valve and my ef will stop with in a dime hell if i push hard enough i will lock up but yeah suggestion is go to the 15/16s mc from the si and get a 25/30 (89 si) prop valve and you should be fine no need to go to the da mc and booster its not like your running big brake kits with dual pistons on the calipers

the only thing the da mc and booster will do is make pedal travel shorter and you will have less of a soft spot on the pedal causing you to lock up sooner than with the ef mcs

ok by not equipped i mean the 23 year old compensator arm bolts are frozen in place and have to be evicted from their homes ...i plan on doing the knuckle swap at work on a lift which i can do both sides in about half an hour.... seeing as my prop valve reads 2530 i assume all i need is the si master and i shoud be golden

dude they will come off i dont have an air compresor or electric impacts and im able to do a full swap and other suspension work all you need is breaker bar and a pipe you will be able to get bolts off (i use a 1/2 drive) but a 3/8s will be fine

yeah just get a 15/16 mc (si master cylinder) and you will be fine just make sure to properly bleed the mc and the system

I have had that set up for years, da disc in front drums in the rear with no issiues.
Probably put 40k on them 100s of drag runs.

The Si runs the 13/16, the 90-91 EX runs the 15/16.

90-91 CRX Si uses 7/8". not 15/16".

you have to use a larger MC with DA front brakes. you wont have enough pedal stroke and it wont be safe if you keep it 13/16", stock DX (and 88-89 Si)

Don't forget the wheel alignment when you're done.

yeah i run a shop and i know i need an alignment when im done i appreciate all the tech help on parts interchange ....the reason i know the compensator arms will be a b*tch is due to the fact that i have aligned this car like 12 times since ive had it and due to it being an ohio car most of its life and being neglected until i got it the compensator bolts are completely frozen im going to have to break them off and drill them out and put new ones in.... ive never been able to properly adjust the rear toe on this car

TeamRedline and Tyson are correct.

The 88-89 Si's used the 13/16" and the 90-91 Si's used the 7/8". The only 90-91 to use a 15/16" was the 4dr Civic EX.

here's my set up:

91 integra brakes front and rear (with sedan e brake cables since they're on a sedan)
stock rubber brake lines
off the shelf rotors
standard ceramic front pads
semi metallic rear pads
4040 prop valve,
90-91 civic ex brake booster
89 prelude si m/c, bolts right up to the civic brake booster and is a 15/16ths master cylinder
dot-4 synthetic brake fluid

my sedan stops on a dime and can lock em up IF needed but its not wanted.

you can leave your stock prop valve if you're doing just the fronts, but the booster and m/c will need to be changed, choose your poison from the following:

88+ prelude
90-00 civic ex
99-00 civic si
90-01 integra

note: the abs integra's actually have a 1" master cylinder

I did it all at once to avoid the headache. It is actually easier cause you only have to bleed the brakes once.
