Icon6 Having problems with stock CD player...

Seeing if anyone with an 02-04 Type S has had their stock 6-disc changer go out, and replaced it with a single-disc (base) CD player without any problems?

lol

The ECU literally has nothing to do with your radio! LMAO

Anyways, one of the issues is the base doesn't have the bose amp and stereo.. so the wiring is different. At least I'm sure because my friend has the same D3 player that I have and his wiring is different than my for the bose amp power.

Maybe its just broken. Sometimes old Honda crap just breaks.

BTW, if you have entered the wrong code too many times, it'll lock you out for a little while.

My only upgrade is K-pro and put it in while running an aftermarket deck so it was the first thing that came to mind. ECU's are more sensitive in the newer civics and integras so it didn't hurt to try.

I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has had this problem with stock CD players. Anyone out there have an 02-04 Type S that has had the stock 6-disc go out, then replaced with a base model without any problems???

I've had 3 go out on me in the past 6 years. As much as I love the OEM unit. It's not worth the frustration. I have an aftermarket unit now.
