Fender liner with rolled fenders??
So, I have a '96 civic coupe. My wheels are 16x7 with a +25 offset. I just got it back from the body shop and they cut the inside of the rear quarter panels to give clearance for the wheels/tires, but they didn't do anything to the front. I'd say 80-90% of the time I don't rub in the front, but every so often, if I take a turn a bit fast, or hit a bump while going 45mph or so, I'll rub in the front. The shop told me that if you roll the front fenders your fender liner won't fit anymore. Is this true? I'm just trying to figure out a way to give myself a little bit extra clearance in the front.
You can give them a small roll, before the fender liner mounts are pushed too far from being usable for the fender liner. But, for the most part, the shop is talking sense.
Yes, you can easily run rolled fenders and keep the fender liners. Do like Matt said and leave them clipped in the fender, and slightly roll them (just to bend them upwards), or unclip them and find a way of securing them, once the tabs are rolled upwards. Not difficult, get under the car and get creative
