Hi there,

I will change my '02 accord 4cyl spark plugs this wkend, but I dont know what type or brand should be used, I check on mine, it said radium, and I check online, they also available platinum. Therefore, which one will give the best fuel efficiency, and performance. Thank you

Check NGK's website and get whatever they say are for you vehicle. Go to an auto parts store with the model numbers and get whichever ones are cheapest. No real need to buy expensive spark plugs for this engine.

Iridium technically lasts longer than platinum. They both perform pretty much the same for fuel efficiency. I don't find that any of those gimmick type spark plugs do any better than the OEM NGK plugs. Cheap plugs don't always fair so well in Honda engines. At least that has been my experience.

OEM replacement;
G Power Platinum - ZFR5FGP
Iriduim IX - ZFR5FIX-11

I always use NGK V Power, theyve never failed to perform.

Honda put Iridium plugs in the car for a reason, so I'd keep it OE to get the best performance from your engine.

I bought some NGK Iridium plugs for my car a few weeks ago from VatoZone. They come pregapped also. It ran me about $40 for six plugs (V6), a pocket pack of grease, and a plug gap tool.
