Default 99-00 Si wing functional?

Alright, I know the 'ITR Wing Functional?' topic has been beaten up quite a bit lately. I have searched for info on the 99-00 Si wing, but I could not quite come up with anything (although I could've sworn I saw something on it a while back).

But I'm wanting to know if the wing on the 99-00 Si is functional in road racing courses, seeing as though it's a bit lower than the ITR wing and the vechicle aerodynamics might be different from the ITR. Could anyone please enlighten me on this subject?

Thanks.

seeing how the Si was North Americas top model civic it has a few extra ammenities to make it more pleasing over the EX.

The painting of the full car, the alloy wheels, the better engine, the frotn lip etc...

I assume the wing is a mere styling aspect. Who would have actually ran it through the wind tunnel to see if a low rise typical wing would aid in aerodynamics for a 160hp FWD civic.

I doubt it aswell, but who knows.......

i forgot that the wing is not even specific to the si, but all the models have the same wing in 99-00 but it still might be functional for all models. It just seems so much like the ITR that they might have some functional purpose for it, even if it is just reduction of lift/drag.

Most manufacturers (or maybe it's the reporters in the car magazines) credit their spoilers with at least some drag reduction, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was at least somewhat functional.
