IIRC, the coupe is the standard, and there is an extender for the sedan. Should mention it somewhere.

I've had a Full race, Skunk2 76mm (not my choice) and i currently have a q300, the q300 is hands down my favorite, its very quite at idle and when cruising, almost no drone and its still 70mm! the skunk2 and full race both had a rather annoying drone that i couldn't live with. If you are N/A i don't know how anyone DD's with a skunk2 exhaust

I have an invidia q300 as well. Excellent exhaust! Good power gains with little to no cruising drone.

Most people don't know about it, but Thermal R&D makes a 3" exhaust for the Civic. Thermal makes the best exhausts in my opinion... light and not super loud. In fact, before Full Race started to make their own 3" exhausts for the 06+ Civic, Thermal made them.

If I wanted a 3" exhaust on my Civic, I would go for the Thermal. A project car I did a couple years ago was a very modified turbo Civic Si with that Thermal 3" exhaust.... car made 541 whp at 14 psi on Jeff Evans dyno.... so that gives you a sense of how good flowing the Thermal exhaust is.

Definitely worth consideration, especially for those who don't want something that isn't loud.

Yep, I noticed that a few places sold them (Thermal), but I still have not seen anyone running it yet.

To OP, if you want the most performance for now and the future, stick with a 3" (76mm) exhaust.

Here are the options that I'm aware of:
- Full Race
- Go Power
- Ultimate Racing
- Excelerate
- Thermal
- Swift Racing Technologies
- Skunk2 Megapower RR

For a daily driver a 3" is just too damn loud. After your 3rd or 4th exhaust ticket it gets old. After switching to the Q300 I haven't had a single ticket for exhaust and my neighbors don't hate me any more. 70mm will still give you good gains as well.

What are you talking about? A larger diameter does not mean that it'll be louder - the design and size/number of resonators is what will affect that the most. The Full Race is quieter than a lot of smaller diameter exhausts.

You listed exhaust from 7 different companies 1 that you claim is quiet. I can tell you the Full Race is not quieter than Q300. I've heard them both side by side infact the Full Race was brand new and mine had atleast 15k on my Invidia muffler. Yes Full Race makes a great product not going to argue that and yes it is quieter than most other 3" exhaust that other companies make. Skunk 2 76mm which was what I had. Sounds like a damn airplane. Argue with me on that. Please.

Full race isn't insanely loud like a skunk2 76mm, but it still has one hell of a drone. when downshifting of letting off the gas while in gear. I hated this about it!! The q300 even has some drone at 3k rpms but it isn't nearly as bad. Honestly 6mm of exhaust isn't going to make a world of difference for the power you make. I make what i would consider pretty damn good power on a stock block and i rock a q300!!!

Where in my post did I say the Full Race was quieter than the Q300?

I am well aware that the Full Race is louder than the Q300 (I have the Full Race). I've also had the Go Power 3" (loud version) and the Vibrant V1 (2.5") before that. And if you want to talk loud, I've been there. The exhaust sleeve clamp disconnected from my Vibrant while I was driving. I was essentially running a straight pipe out of the cat and had to crawl home trying to stay in neutral as much as possible. Now that's ear-popping - my ears ring just thinking about it.

And, of course it is mostly agreed upon that the Skunk2 76mm is louder than most other off the shelf exhausts you can buy. But, to discount all 3" exhausts by saying
For a daily driver a 3" is just too damn loud.
doesn't make sense. Not all exhausts are made with the same considerations in mind. I also daily drive with my Full Race - it doesnt' bother me, but I can understand that it could get annoying for others.

The OP is asking about the exhaust for the best performance. I'm not seeing where he talks about wanting/needing the "quietest" exhaust. We all want something different from our cars (which is perfectly fine). But when the question is "maximum performance" for our cars (for now and for future upgrades), I'm going to say go with a 3" exhaust. OP can determine for himself what tolerances he has for sound/drone - I just listed some options since it seemed as though he wasn't aware of all of them.

Me personally, I'm willing to sacrifice having a little bit of drone/volume knowing that I've got the 3" diameter exhaust. However, my tolerance is not that great hence I got rid of the Go Power 3" in favor of the Full Race. There are times that I do miss the deeper/louder tone of the Go Power, but I'm more than happy with my choice. Others (such as yourself) want the absolute quietest exhaust out there which is totally understandable. The losses are not SO great between the 70mm and 76mm; however, if the OP is looking for absolute max power, that tiny bit might justify goign with the 76mm.

These are all points that the OP will have to decide for himself.
