Icon2 gearbox mixing

guys i wand to ask you something . i am gona swap to hydro tranny on my crx i have a stock tranny from ek4 sir civic mine is the stock cable of the ef8 . my stock's f.d is 4,2 but gears feel like the stock ek4 sir that has f.d 4.4 are the stock ef8 cable tranny gears shorter that the stock ek4 ? if yes can i mix the gears of the cable with the hydro and create a good short trany ?

As long as you don't mix and match the ring and pinion gears you should be good I would think.

i found the ratios from a wiki i am gona swap the 2-3-4 gear of the ek4 tranny to the ef8 tranny gears that are shorter

If you're trying to put hydro gears in a y1 tranny ur wasting ur time.

U could get a ys1 case and transfer the hydro diff and stax into it. That works

Next time ask a real question so it's easier to read/understand.

NO - you can't mix and match hydro and cable gear sets unless you have the YS1 transmission with the external detents like a hydro. The final drives and differentials between B16's can be swapped between the two though. The higher the FD number the shorter the gears.
