Question about ZC swapped 91 Si
Ok i bought the car back in 07 from a used dealership with no knowledge of Hondas prior to the buy. The car was cheap and I needed something else other than a stupid Z71. I loved it and had to have it. Turns out the owner before me had swapped a DOHC ZC into it and i had no idea it wasnt the original engine. The clutch pedal has always felt super wrong. The first gear is so short it seems un-useable and it's getting to the point where i can let the clutch out almost the full length of the pedal and it barely grabs and every time i let out on the pedal it feels like it jerks and is super annoying. Not to mention the pedal just feels like its to high up. I want to buy a clutch kit but im not sure what to buy. I'm not sure what tranny is actually on the car.
without knowing for sure which year transmission is in it, you can only guess - my guess is that since the car is a 91 Si with real short gearing, it has the original 91 Si transmission and 91 flywheel, in which case you would need a clutch kit for a 91 Si - only way to know for sure is to pull out the transmission

Sounds to me like you need to adjust the clutch cable.
If you look at the tranny and find the clutch release lever on it, then follow the cable up a few inches, you'll find a large black nut on the mounting bracket.
You can turn that nut to change the point in the clutch pedal travel at which the clutch engages and disengages. I don't remember off the top of my head which direction of turn does what, but it's not too difficult to figure out if you play with it a bit.
