airbags are not good.... How did he pass inspection?
(air bags can be in the car they cannot enabeled.)
2. IT is the drivers responsiblity to tech the car and prepare the car per the rules.
Probably more damage done to the car since it had a JDM front, smaller bumper support and all.
Given the same circumstances with a USDM front, the damage done would have been sufficiently lower.
IMO

. this could be a good reason not to allow those types of front ends in for racingBrian

Sorry to see that happened.

This maybe a stupid question but why are airbags not good. I don't have them but just wondering.
On the bumper supports and which type, strikes me that the front end was pretty much sheared off so I am a-guessin' that a different (or more robust attachment point) would have either yeilded the identical result or made things worse. JMO
Hope that all is well with the driver - indeed a tough break.
hit tire wall y0.
There weren't any tires in front of that wall.

I hope all is going as well.
Oh that sucks! I know exactly how the driver is feeling right now....
But it does seem much more more repairable than mine!

How was that a race car when it has no class identification on it, only a number and the NASA sticker? I don't know who it was, though I've seen the car before, so I can guess, but if he can't follow the simple T&S related rules (class designation on sides and front of car), I'm almost not surprised he can't follow the bigger protect-your-own-*** rules (air bags disabled).

glad he's okay in any event
