Issue with del sol not powering ecu or main relay
I have a del sol here at my shop and it will not power on the ecu. The ecu was bench tested and we also tried a new ecu as well.
97 Delsol
I have tried 3 main relays, 4 fuse boxes, multiple grounds, I have tested the main relay and it checks otu perfect power goes in and out just fine, I do not have ground to it but I added it for the sake of arguement as well. I tested the thermo ground and I have continuity all the way through the car. I tested power into the ecu as well as grounds and it all seems fine, I checked for back up power, power while cranking, grounds igp and grounds going into the ecu.
I swapped out the dash harness and also the engine harness as well. I turn the key to the on position and the CEl turns on and stays on but does nothing no fuel pump nothing comes on.
I have read all that I could online and cant seem to find anything that has worked.
Let me know if you have even seen this problem!

You might want to check the ignition switch to verify that the power is actually being sent when the key is switched on. You can also check the continuity between the switch and the main relay as well.
I attached the wiring diagram that shows the main relay for a 97 del sol. I don't know if you have them or not.

So i disconnected the d harness and the now the ecu works and primes the fuel pump! Why is it that the with the d harness at the ecu it will not turn on???
I can turn the key and it works fine as long at the d harness is unplugged. While the ecu is on in the car I reinstall the d harness the ecu shuts off.
The only thing that I can suggest it take a multi-meter and test each lead individually for continuity to each sensor and test to see if they are grounding out when they are not supposed to. You might try the ELD in the underhood fuse box as well, I don't know it you change the under hood fuse box out or just the under dash one.

But I honestly couldn't tell you but I know what your going thru and its a pain in the *** Xs10!
In the d harness it's the d20 which it says it's voltage for tps...
