Default egr question

When i pull the egr valve on my car there is 2 holes one is rectangular that goes to the egr passage way and the other is a round hole. Should the round hole be open or is it just a vaccume thing. Cause there is no opening in the bottom of the round hole. Idk if it needs cleaned or should it just be a empty hole with no passage?

I don't recall but if you put your pinky down and it's pack with carbon then it goes to some thing to have cause the carbon deposit. While you got it open, might just well clean it. You also need to do your EGR ports. Those are more important as they are smaller and easier to clog up.
Did you ever solve your IACV problem?

The only vacuum port is the nipple on the EGR valve itself.
The two holes under the valve are the ports where the exhaust gases are fed from and go to. They need to be clear of carbon build up for clow to occur.

It should be cleaned out. I'm fairly sure it's a 90° turn towards the head as it needs to be fed the exhaust gases from the exhaust port.
I cannot recall if on the F22B intakes if there is a plug that can be removed to access that perpendicular port to clean out the feed.

no never fixed the iacv problem. I cleaned the ports a while ago anf replaced the valve but never cleaned that hole where the nipple goes i thougjt it was just like that hah.... How dumb am i lol. ... I put a new throttle body on with new fitv and iacv but still didnt fix the idle it goes to the dealership in a week. Ive tried everythong. But this hole i never cleaned should fix my lost power when its warmed up. I was sleeping and had a dream about it ( how weird) so i thought i would ask if it should be open before i rip the valve back off haha

No.

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation system uses exhaust gas. To feed this exhaust gas to the intake side, there is a port in the head that feeds from the exhaust ports in the head to the port on the EGR valve. Just like the removable plugs on the intake manifold runners that can be removed to clean the ports, IIRC there is also a plug that can be removed so you can clean the EGR port/gallery that leads into the head.
