was a 92 integra halfshaft installed on my c5?
just bought the last part i need to get my car on the road, or so i thought.
i just picked up a new pair of 97 acura integra type-r driveshafts from carquest today and as soon as i opened the box for the driver side driveshaft i noticed it had both a male and a female end on it, while my old one had 2 male ends.
so my thought is that the previous owner had installed a 92 integra b18a1 halfshaft and driveshaft for some reason.
im going to pick up the old inner cv now but is that a possibility? should i return the driverside axle and get one for a 92 teg?
i bought the motor in a 97 4dr civic, and i just installed it into a 92 3dr civ

Any opinions?
I checked my old inner cv and all the ends were defiantly male, so it's not like I broke the spline off the half shaft.
Im keeping the type r passenger side driveshaft and hopefully will get a 92 b18a1 driver side axle tomorrow as that's the only thing I can think of.
If this won't work please let me know before I have to deal with annother 30% restocking fee

Check this other picture out. The one on the top is what yours looks like, right?
If so, then yes. You have a set of DA axles in your car.

There is nothing wrong with them. They work just as well as the DC axles.
Thanks man, great pics, the top driveshaft in the pics looks exactly like the old driver side.
Guess that explains why the new half shaft outer seal I bought didn't fit.
