i am a highschool student that wants to build up an f22 motor. any suggestions. It will possibly be turboed when put into the car, but as of right now it is just a spare motor. i have everything to build it back up to stock, but its in pieces. so i figured that since i have it, why not just build it up. so im looking for suggestions that are realativly cheap, because whether you beilieve it or not, im on a pretty tightbudget. lol. but im looking to upgrade basically everything, from pistons to the head. so im looking for cheap but decent brands. and should i bore it out? any help would be great. and I know there are other motors out there that are better to build up,but if i wanted to do that, i would have. so dont tell me to get a different motor please. and remember this is a budget build. its also a dd. so not looking to do the track thing all that much. thanks again

 

yes it can be turboed it build right and built strong

 

f22a or b? either way you can boost and reach 200+hp easily because of the iron sleeves. for starters just put together a nice dsm kit with bigger injectors and you can make good power boosting 8lbs.

 

If you go all motor you can shave the head for more power... Boring it out won't produce much change so if the cylinder walls are okay I'd leave it...my 2.3 mustang had a head milled 150 thousandths and it's a night and day difference.

 

Whether it's an F22A or B, it'll still make good power depending on it's health. Throw in a Bisi Turbo cam in and you'd be set to go!
