What are some pros and cons to painted and unpainted factory side skirts? I'm debating weather or not to paint match my side skirts when i repaint the car. Wouldn't the paint chip off from rocks and other stuff hitting it, or crack from temperature changes? Has anyone ever had problems with painted side skirts?

 

You'll need an adhesion promoter. Same as painted vs unpainted bumpers.

 

okay, so it would just be better to leave them unpainted. i was just curious because i've seen a few civics and del sols with paint matched side skirts and they looked pretty good, but i wondered if they might have those problems or something to that degree

 

If you paint them right, it won't be a problem.
