Which setup for me??
I'm looking for a single 12" sub setup with an amp. I'd rather have a sub with awesome SQ and some SPL. I don't want to spend more than $450 on the sub and amp. Here are my choices (feel free to add a choice):
12" JL W3 v2 - JL 250.1
12" Kicker Solobaric L5 - JBL 600/1
Which one is better for what I am looking for? Thanks!

Of the two, it's a toss up.... 
Because I've owned the squares and have some W6's...
Can't you bump up the budget just a tad bit more??? Then you could get an Image Dynamics IDMAX12 and use something like a JBL 1200.1 to power it!!!
