What is the "correct" cable to use with this setup. I know the right thing to do is to match the cable to the intake manifold (bracket). Which I have done. It's a jdm b18b (p75 intake manifold) and I had been running a used "98 LS" throttle cable until it started acting up. Went to Acura and bought a brand new one but it still doesn't sit right on the bracket off the manifold. I had to flip the bracket over to make it work and I know it's not supposed to be the way I have it set up.

Any insight?

i think you have the wrong bracket. it's supposed to look like this:
