Default Torque spec for part# 11107-PK2-003

Hello all,

Would anyone with the helm manual kindly share the torque spec for part# 11107-PK2-003. This is a barb that is plumbed to the oil cooler on h22's. Thanks!

Just put that German torque on it, you know "Guden-tight"? Lol
*edit I just looked in the service manual and there wasn't a spec in either the cooling or lube section. I'm guessing 28Nm, kinda like the thermo switches, but if you know what size it is, you can approximate the torque based on the size and given its threading into aluminum. If its an M10, it looks like 34Nm into aluminum, if its an M12 its 61Nm. I'd start low, and tighten it if it leaks.

I can't find a torque spec for this anywhere. Around 30 ft/lbs should be good though. Notice there is thread sealant on the threads too, so if re-using an old fitting you will want to put fresh thread sealant on it. This will not only seal the threads, but also prevent it from coming loose. And there is a difference between thread sealant and thread lock. Make sure to use thread sealant.

That spec is probably pretty close... maybe a few ft/lbs more. Looking up that part number from Honda, there seems to be a crush washer that goes with it. Are you still thinking some thread sealant for good measure ? I normally use HondaBond on block and head fittings that do not utilize a crush washer.
