VSS
My speedometer and odometer along with my cruise control quit working. I ordered a vehicle speed sensor for my 94 accord, thinking it would be a simple fix. Everything I had been reading said it was pretty simple. One it took forever to find it, and the pictures gave a general location but it was very had to find. Now we can not even get to it, there are too many wires and cables in the way, anyone have any pointers? it is a 1994 Honda Accord LX 5 speed
While the vss is located on the transmission, underneath the thermostat housing, it sounds like a ground issue if the effect is present on multiple gauges.
You should also be getting a code if the vss malfunctions.
Inspect the G401 chassis ground.
It is located on the drivers side near the interior fuse panel and supplies several electrical accessories with a chassis grounding location.

I had the same problem you are experiencing. I replaced my VSS and the Speedometer and odometer came back to life but my cruise control still doesn't work. Let me know if you figured out what the problem was.
