Default Are these Volks fake?

I came across a set of rims that I may trade. However there are a few things that worry me. He says they are Volk GTF's but they are 4x100. I have never seen a set that are 18" and 4x100 much less 4 lug period. The look like the real deal. He says that they are old but in good condition. At the same time, I haven't seen a replica that looks just like the real on either. I asked if there were the Rays stickers on the back and he said there were not.

Here are a couple pics.

You don't need to go off stickers bro.....just ask for a couple pic off the back of the wheels. Real Volks are made in Japan and will be stamped in the back. You would also be able to see the bolts that hold the two piece wheel together

Looks fake. I've never seen a Rays wheel with such terrible lug hole placement like that. That GTF font looks terrible too. If these actually are authentic, they're still ugly lol.

^ Agree with the lug placement. And also check to see that it's a 2pc like someone posted earlier.

If you check the Volk/Rays site, it does say they come in 18 and 19, however, when you pull up the spec sheet, it only shows the 19s specs which all are 5x100 or 5x114.

What wheels are you trading them for?

those are fake. like klectic said. they only come in 5 lug, not 4.

real ones have the space between the rim and the spokes where the bolts are. the ones u posted have that line between the bolts. hopefully that makes sense. and the center cap is fake. doesnt even look like a real volk center cap.

They're definitely fake, due to the fake multi-piece bolts and it not actually being multi-piece.

The simple fact that you were going to trade some curbed up xxr's worth maybe 1/4 of real volk gtu is enough to give it away.

Thanks for the replies. Proabably going to trade my XXR's for a B16 head with GSR cams,Omni powere springs and retainers, AEBS Intake manifold and Skunk2 68mm TB. I will then trade the head for a set of 15x7 Advan Sa3R's that need paint.

You can clearly see no separation between the face and the barrel. Fake as can be.
