Recently started having a problem with the door locks on this wagon: when you start the car, the doors try to unlock (seems like a couple times) and then they all lock. If I start the car with the driver's door open, it doesn't do it; but as soon as the driver's door is shut, it happens. Its a big problem if the car is running and you get out and shut the door: you're locked out!

When this started: I noticed that the driver's rear door, when open, did not show up on the dash as being open. I had a spare door ajar sensor so I swapped 'em. The light for the rear door then worked, but the lock issue began. I since disassembled and cleaned the rear door ajar sensor, but to no avail (did the front door, too).

Two things from searching the web come to mind: previous owner had alarm system installed that I don't know about; or its the drivers front door lock actuator. There are a lot of posts for the next gen door lock actuators, and videos online of how to replace for them -- but I can not find anything for the 90-93!

I have a wrecked 90 Accord 4-dr; I looked at that to try and figure out how to remove the lock actuator. I didn't see three screws like on the '94 and up. Any suggestions? How do you remove the actuators on a '90-'91? This car is supposed to be my daughter's for college, so I can't have her locking herself out far from home! LOL
